Description :

This position is for a travel RN in a step-down unit.

The unit has 20 beds with a staffing ratio of 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, along with 3 techs during the day shift.

The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, with 2 techs.

Patient ratios are estimated at 1 : 4, with the charge nurse free of patients.

The unit is equipped with vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction devices, and chest tubes.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

This is a standard trauma unit with stable vented and trached patients.

Candidates should enjoy working with a highly acute patient population.

Teamwork is essential, and motivated nurses will find a supportive environment.

Charge nurses and tech support are available during both day and night shifts.

The unit features a diverse and complex patient population, providing interesting challenges for nursing staff.
