ITTConnect is seeking a Java Backend Developer to work for one of our clients in the Atlanta area. This is a contract position with a company that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the retail / restaurant business.

Job location : On site (Sandy Springs area, Zip code 30328).

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Implement and manage databases and data access technologies, including DynamoDB and Firebase.
Deploy and operate applications on AWS EKS, utilizing services such as S3 and CloudWatch.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Document technical designs and low-level architectures.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

5-7 years of experience in software development using Java.

Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture.

Experience with RESTful API design and development.

Proficiency in database technologies, like DynamoDB and Firebase.

Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and services like EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.

Knowledge of CI / CD practices and tools.

Knowledge of code quality tools like SonarQube.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with Agile development methodologies.
