Position Summary :

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Research Manager will lead and oversee a team of 8 AR Research Specialists dedicated to resolving invoice discrepancies caused by pricing and quantity mismatches against customer Purchase Orders. This role is critical to accelerating issue resolution, ensuring accurate invoicing, and driving improved cash collections. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with strong analytical skills, proven experience managing teams, and the ability to partner effectively across internal departments and with external customers.

Essential Functions :

• Manage, train, develop, and mentor a team of 8 AR Research Specialists.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and career development opportunities.
• Oversee the timely resolution of invoice discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, and other Purchase Order mismatches.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure quick turnaround of issues and continuous improvement in processes.
• Ensure corrected invoices are delivered to customers promptly to support increased cash collections.
• Partner with customers, sales, pricing, and other internal departments to identify root causes of discrepancies and implement sustainable solutions.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency gains across the invoicing and AR research function.
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex invoice discrepancy issues.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze trends, track team performance, and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present reporting on issue resolution, team productivity, and financial impact to leadership.
• Recommend process enhancements based on data-driven analysis.
