Pay Range : $16.520 - $24.353 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and / or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.

Job Duties

• May be called upon to lead temporary grounds maintenance staff at the Lincoln NDOT Headquarters.
• Assist in the supervision and training of summer temporary employees.
• Perform ground maintenance duties, including watering, mowing, trimming grass, seeding, fertilizing, applying pesticides, weeding flower beds, trimming trees and shrubs, and removing snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots of two locations, following established methods and procedures.
• May perform semi-skilled to skilled building and equipment maintenance work (mowers, payloaders, trucks, etc.).
• Maintain and repair equipment.
• On-call for snow emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications : No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.

Preferred Qualifications : At least one year of experience in groundskeeping.
