Mission Assurance Engineer (Subject Matter Expert)

a.i. solutions will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Quality, Safety and Mission Assurance (QS) Directorate by implementing quality and mission assurance requirements through technical evaluations of developer designs for subcomponents, assemblies, and integrated systems associated with MDA programs.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities :

• Provide technical evaluations of developer designs for subcomponents, assemblies, and integrated systems, offering subject matter expertise to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to design, development, manufacturing, fielding, and operation of MDA systems.
• Contribute to the implementation and execution of MDA's Assurance Provisions (MAP) and Parts, Materials, and Processes Mission Assurance Plan (PMAP) requirements on development efforts.
• Assess the risk levels of baseline system designs and analyze the impact of changes on overall system risk profiles. Communicate issues and prepare risk notification reports.
• Review hardware and software for compliance with quality and mission assurance requirements, supporting failure investigations, review boards, evaluations, audits, and assessments, including root cause analysis.
• Draft documents, briefs, presentations, and response actions, including information papers.
• Provide weekly status reports on activities and issues.
