Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes for drivetrain units and components.

Conduct inspections and testing of gears, shafts, gearboxes, and transmission units during and after production to ensure compliance with specifications.

Investigate quality issues (internal and external), perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective and preventive action initiatives (CAPA).

Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns and support continuous improvement efforts.

Maintain and analyze quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and customer complaints.

Assist in supplier quality assurance, including audits, performance evaluations, and incoming inspection of raw materials and components.

Support internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and customer-specific audits.

Train production staff in quality control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment (preferably in drivetrain, automotive, or precision component manufacturing).

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools (e.g., FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA), and industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 is a plus).

Proficiency in using measurement instruments (CMMs, micrometers, calipers, etc.) and interpreting technical drawings.

Experience with ERP and QMS systems.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with gear manufacturing processes such as hobbing, grinding, and heat treatment.

Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Certification in Quality (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt) is an advantage.
