Base pay range

$16.00 / hr - $22.00 / hr

Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Diagnostic Ophthalmic Technician. This entry-level position offers significant growth potential, including opportunities to advance by attending company-sponsored courses and gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome patients warmly, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Maintain a helpful, positive demeanor while attending to patient needs, setting the tone for an exceptional experience.
  • Manage patient flow in waiting areas and exam rooms, proactively identifying delays to minimize wait times and ensuring a smooth visit.
  • Assist physicians during patient exams, providing support with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Perform advanced diagnostic tests such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field Testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation for all patient appointments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Comfortably navigate and utilize a variety of medical technologies and software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic in fulfilling job duties and expectations.
  • A keen eye for detail with a meticulous approach to tasks.
  • Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity when interacting with patients.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, and prioritization skills.

    • Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

    • Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM.
  • Flexibility is key, with occasional availability required on weekends and evenings.
