Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Diagnostic Ophthalmic Technician. This entry-level position offers significant growth potential, including opportunities to advance by attending company-sponsored courses and gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients warmly, ensuring they feel valued and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
- Maintain a helpful, positive demeanor while attending to patient needs, setting the tone for an exceptional experience.
- Manage patient flow in waiting areas and exam rooms, proactively identifying delays to minimize wait times and ensuring a smooth visit.
- Assist physicians during patient exams, providing support with professionalism and efficiency.
- Perform advanced diagnostic tests such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field Testing, Fundus Photography, and Corneal Topography, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation for all patient appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Comfortably navigate and utilize a variety of medical technologies and software.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic in fulfilling job duties and expectations.A keen eye for detail with a meticulous approach to tasks.Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity when interacting with patients.Strong multitasking, time-management, and prioritization skills.Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED.Work Schedule
