Print Quality Coordinator

Location : San Antonio, TX

Duration :  One Year +Ext

SUMMARY :  Print Quality Coordinator is a technical subject matter expert on commercial printing and artwork requirements necessary to achieve optimal print quality. Provides support to internal and external clients to ensure print quality and continuity of global labeling meets company’s Print Quality Management (PQM) and Enterprise Packaging & Labeling (EPL) processes, procedures and specifications. This includes, but is not limited to graphic design, inks, coatings, and dielines in the artwork, ensuring it meets the desired function and performance. This position provides global support for print problems related to artwork and production.

JOB DESCRIPTION :  Performs tasks ranging from moderate to difficult in scope and complexity. Ensures approved artwork meets company's EPL and PQM standards and requirements. Has a direct impact on the EPL team, internal and external clients, as well as print suppliers, providing guidance as needed. Partners with internal and external clients to ensure print quality and delivery of efficient and effective graphics provided to company suppliers for commercial printing. Follows defined approaches, systems, and processes, and adapts and tailors each approach to the specific project. Works with multiple project teams from all company businesses. Takes on operations assignments as needed.

Skills :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a print environment
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite graphic design (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
• Understanding of quality and efficiencies pertaining to print technology / graphic communications
• Understanding of multiple printing technologies including, but not limited to new technologies beyond existing commercial standards (3D, Digital, Flexographic, Offset, & Screen Printing)
• Works under general supervision
• Follows established procedures
• Quality and detail oriented
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to work closely with internal and external clients, suppliers and personnel

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in a print-related field or equivalent experience
