Illinois Pain & Spine Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical experience, from admission to discharge.
As an integral member of the surgical team, the RN ensures a safe and supportive environment by coordinating and guiding the multidisciplinary activities required during surgical intervention.
The RN applies the nursing process in all aspects of patient care, promotes optimal outcomes through evidence-based practices and critical pathways, and upholds the mission, policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility.
Compensation :
Includes the patient and his or her family in planning care, establishing priorities, and setting goals. Use care plans as a basis for providing safe and therapeutic care to patients. Communicate with the patient and their family and other members of the health care team in carrying out the goals of the care plan. Accepts accountability for clinical care of assigned patients including supervision of nonprofessional personnel. Evaluates and notes the patient's response to nursing care defined in the nursing care plan and medical records. Assumes responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and unit conferences. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience :
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required. At least one year of experience as a nurse in the OR and / or a post-anesthesia care unit. BLS certification required. Certified post-anesthesia nurse (CPAN) preferred. Required Skills & Abilities :
