Chief Operating Officer

Tallahassee, Florida | Full-time | Executive Leadership

My client is one of the fastest-growing MEP contractors in North Florida, delivering high-quality mechanical and plumbing solutions for commercial and federal projects. Their recent portfolio includes healthcare facilities, large-scale commercial builds, government installations, and high-efficiency HVAC / plumbing retrofits throughout the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across field teams, project management, estimating, procurement, and safety.
  • Translate company strategy into actionable business plans and measurable results.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Mentor and develop department leaders, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Partner with the President and executive team to drive growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC contracting, or MEP operations.
  • Proven track record leading multimillion-dollar construction projects.
  • Strong financial, operational management skills and P&L reasonability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
