Our client, a leading fashion / lifestyle brand, is looking to hire an Omni Channel Planning Manager on a contract basis.
This role is full-time hours on a hybrid schedule, expected to last until June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the development of pre-season and in-season financial plans (sales, margin, inventory, receipts) across channels, ensuring alignment with corporate and merchant objectives.
- Partner with Merchandising and Demand Planning to create omnichannel assortment and inventory strategies that support sales and profit goals.
- Analyze historical performance, trend data, and market dynamics to forecast sales and optimize inventory by classification, style, and channel.
- Partner with Demand Planning and Inventory Management to develop strategies for core and always-in-stock programs.
- Monitor sales, margin, and inventory performance weekly to identify opportunities and risks to financial objectives.
- Partner with Merchandising and Marketing to plan, execute, and evaluate promotions, ensuring discount strategies are financially sound and aligned with inventory health.
- Leverage performance data to recommend promotion cadence, depth, and product focus that drive incremental sales while protecting margin.
- Lead the markdown planning process, recommending timing, depth, and segmentation of markdowns to optimize sell-through and minimize aged inventory.
- Collaborate with Allocation, Demand Planning, and E-commerce Operations to ensure inventory flow and promotional quantities support demand across both stores and online.
- Present in-season recaps and forward-looking action plans to senior leadership, highlighting key learnings, performance drivers, and financial implications.
- Develop and manage integrated inventory strategies that flex across channels to support shifting demand patterns and omnichannel fulfillment.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Allocation to ensure buy quantities and flow strategies support business objectives and customer needs.
- Use analytics and demand insights to optimize channel-specific assortment depth and breadth, maximizing sales conversion and inventory productivity.
- Present financial forecasts and performance analyses to senior leadership, articulating key drivers, variances, and actionable insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or related field.6+ years of experience in merchandise planning, financial planning, or inventory management within a specialty retail or consumer goods environment.Proven success managing omnichannel or multi-store planning functions.Advanced proficiency in Excel and planning systems (e.g., JDA, Oracle RPAS, Anaplan, or similar).Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence cross-functional partners and leadership.Please submit a resume and portfolio for consideration.
