About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Obstetrics / Labor and Delivery

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Must-Have :

2 years OB / L&D experience

Active BLS required – must be AHA

Active ACLS required – must be AHA

Active NRP required

Willing to float to other units, including Med-Surg and Tele

EPIC experience or experience with other EMR systems

Ability to care for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric patients, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow

Willingness to apply for temporary and permanent MN state RN licenses if needed

Description :

Candidates willing to apply for a temporary and permanent MN state RN license within 24 hours of acceptance will be considered.

Floating to Med-Surg and taking a small patient load is required per contract guidelines.

Average patient census includes 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, and 4 in Special Care Nursery.

Support staff includes ward clerks, CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, and LPN scrub nurses.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 3 for mom / baby couplets, 1 : 5 for GYN / Med-Surge patients, and 1 : 3-4 for pediatrics.

Equipment used includes EPIC One Chart, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call Light System, and Medfusion Pumps.

Candidates must be able to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics.

All clinicians must badge in and out.

Scrub color is navy blue.

Please note if you have previously worked for the organization in any capacity.

The client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks.
