QA / QC Welding Inspector - Beaumont, TX

Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Beaumont, TX area is offering challenging and exciting career opportunities for QA / QC WELDING INSPECTOR. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on project success and exceeding customer expectations. Qualified candidates must be able to perform all duties listed below safely and follow all of the company's safety procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical data.
• Perform daily quality assurance checks per the project specifications and drawings.
• Prepare daily reports to ensure compliance with engineered drawings.
• Determine required frequency of inspections and tests.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule inspections to maintain production goals.
• Prepare and maintain test data for review.
• Must possess Visual inspection experience, have structural welding knowledge and understanding of D1.1 code book.
• Perform Visual inspections of welds and verifying stamps throughout the site to ensure the quality of the work conforms to the project specifications and governing codes.
• Responsible for comprising and maintaining Weld maps, Heat maps, Weld logs and complete daily QAQC Reports / track welder data for the project.
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of work-related engineering codes and standards, such as ASTM, AISC, ACI, API, ANSI / ASME and AWS D1.1.
• Responsible for performing receiving inspections of materials to ensure materials meet specifications (maintaining receiving inspection reports, MTRs & traceability of materials received)
• Basic Computer Skills (Proficient in Bluebeam, Word, Excel, & Outlook).
• Provide open and honest communications to client representatives regarding the quality of work.
• Evaluate data, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
• Conduct routine, consistent communication / updates with supported project leads.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while in a field office on the jobsite.
• Have the ability to climb ladders and work in rough terrain.
