Job Description Summary
Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum patient rehabilitation. Provides Physical Therapy services as defined by the California Physical Therapy Practice Act applying principles and theories of physical sciences in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying patient care as an active continuous process.
Job Description
- Additionally, the Physical Therapist II will provide Physical Therapy services within an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards.
- This individual will demonstrate accountability for, and contribution to, the Department’s daily operations, including fulfilling charge duties as requested
- Exhibit fiscal responsibility through accurate time-keeping of assigned work shifts (which includes compliance with management-designated start / end times)
- Participate in program development and quality improvement activities as requested by management
- Adhere to the Department’s established productivity standards.
- All responsibilities will be carried out in a manner reflective of El Camino Health’s We Care values and Medical Staff Code of Conduct and Professional Behavior.
- Position is enterprise wide, employees will be required to float between campuses.
Qualifications
Completion of Accredited Physical Therapy Program; Master’s or Doctorate degree preferredMinimum of 3 years’ experience; if working in NICU, at least one year experience in NICU careMeets Career Ladder requirements of Level II TherapistLicense / Certification / Registration Requirements
Current valid California Physical Therapy license
Current BLS (Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association) for Healthcare Provider
CCS-Paneled or in process if working in NICU / OP Pediatrics
