Overview

Support all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray / frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. The primary role is to participate within an Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies
  • Understand engineering scope definition, RFQ's, sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air / mist / coolant collectors and filtration
  • Support and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure approved programs are completed on time and within budget
  • Support all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation
  • Support flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)
  • Participate in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to address risks
  • Development / improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure
  • Support manufacturing plants located in Dundee and Trenton, Michigan, Kokomo, Indiana, and Saltillo, Mexico; transmission plants in Kokomo and Tipton, Indiana; and casting plants in Toledo, Ohio, Kokomo, Indiana, and Etobicoke, Ontario in conjunction with Global Center of Competency initiatives
  • Drive standardization across plants in all regions

Location

Lagrange, IN; Nappanee, IN; Indianapolis, IN; other locations may be involved as part of project work.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting industrial control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces)
  • Create and maintain accurate electrical documentation, including drawings, specifications, test procedures, and reports
  • Knowledge of various sensors, actuators, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with robotic systems and automation principles
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Understanding of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC)
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo systems
  • Travel 21%-40%
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or technical equivalent
  • Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with electrical systems and controls
  • Strong background in powertrain and program management is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
