About The Position

Description :

This position is for a traveling registered nurse specializing in the cardiac catheterization lab.

The shift operates from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

On-call requirements consist of one night per week and one weekend per month.

The department provides services for invasive and non-invasive procedure care.

The cardiac cath lab operates four procedure rooms Monday through Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM.

An on-call staff is available 24 / 7 for emergency procedures.

The patient population served includes newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Patients may require procedural or surgical intervention to maintain or restore wellness.

The staff ensures a safe and comfortable environment to assist physicians in meeting patients' health needs.

Patient assessments cover physical, psychological, and social needs.

A plan of care is developed upon reassessment in the procedure area, allowing for necessary modifications.

After procedures, patients are under direct supervision until appropriately discharged.

The basic staffing plan for procedure rooms includes a circulator, a scrub technician, and a monitor technician.

Staff members maintain current certifications and licenses relevant to their roles.

Ongoing education and clinical skills evaluation are implemented for all staff to maintain high-quality care.

Policies and procedures follow standards from relevant health organizations and collaborative staff expertise.

The core services include electrocardiography, echocardiography, clerical support, and invasive catheterization.

Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed in conjunction with physicians.

Pre-and post-procedural care is provided to patients with quality and safety as priorities.

The team works together to ensure the highest level of well-being for the patients.

This position requires the ability to assist during complex procedures, and good communication skills are necessary.

The intent is to provide quality care and aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
