IMFC Social Services Supervisor - York, Lincoln, Omaha (Open)
DHHS is looking for an IMFC Social Service Supervisor who demonstrates excellent customer service skills, has a high personal standard of integrity, and is action oriented. Strong time management, problem solving, written communication, and planning skills are essential. This position supervises a team of Social Service Workers that are responsible for determining Title IV-E (Federal) or State funding for Children and Family Services foster care, subsidized guardianship, and adoption assistance programs. Supervision of case openings require review of the documentation and verification of eligibility determinations to have an audit ready case. Oversite for required annual reviews and supervision of the ongoing case management of the program cases for changes, reviews of eligibility will be needed. The supervisor will respond to requests for information from foster parents, CFS Specialists, supervisors, administrators, and auditors. A high level of oral and writing skills will be required to interact with internal and external contacts.
Minimum Qualifications : Post high school coursework / training in : social work; counseling / guidance; psychology; sociology; human development; mental health care; education; or closely related areas AND experience in a social service organization with responsibility for determining eligibility for public assistance and / or social services programs; case management; resource development; or related social service functions; experience in supervision and employee performance evaluation or program analysis / evaluation; or policy development.
Preferred Qualifications : Prefer 2 years of experience with Medicaid & Long Term Care / Economic Assistance / IMFC and some experience with supervision, training, or mentoring.
Other : Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
