The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 50 % (20 hours a week) Medical Assistant II (MA II) to work at our Sioux City Clinic.
This position will support our Family Medicine Clinic and Laboratory services.
For over 50 years, the health and wellness of our patients has been our primary focus. We see patients for pregnancy care, baby wellness, vaccinations, school and athletic physicals, acute care visits, annual physicals, regular check-ups, mental health, on-site laboratory services and more. Our team develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. Summary :
Under direct supervision of LIP (licensed independent practitioner), RN (registered nurse), NM / ANM (nurse manager / assistant nurse manager) or other licensed designee, functions as a member of the patient care team. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the urgent care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.

Percent of Time : 50% (20 hours per week)
Schedule : Variable hours Monday-Friday between 7 : 30 AM and 5 : 00 PM, with two 8-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift. No weekends, on call time, or holidays required.
