The Opportunity
We’re now hiring a Night Shift Dry Packaging Machine Operator to operate and maintain the general operation of a line, to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety of that line. This position will report to the night shift supervisor and night shift assistant supervisor.
Essential Duties :
- General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports
- Communicate with Supervisor / Foreman on all production concerns
- Communicate with Extruder Operators on product times and bin space
- Starting and setting up all required equipment for production
- Controlling packaging materials, code dates, expiration dates, stickers and any items unique to product specs
- Controls product quality, packaging quality, contamination, weight controls and line efficiency
- Will do general maintenance and repairs on equipment and assist maintenance personnel
- Will perform all equipment adjustments and change overs and troubleshoot equipment when problems occur
- Complete all daily reports in legible manner, special projects as assigned
- Assist in controlling packaging from warehouse, assist in supervising all line workers required on line
- Operator will assist other lines when needed, perform all other duties assigned, assist training of all line worker
- Complete knowledge of bin, product distribution, product delivery and blending systems
- Coordinate all record keeping and charting to include cleaning schedule, packaging yields and efficienc
- Assist Supervisor and Foreman as needed to control packaging area

General mathematical ability and basic computer skillsMust not be afraid of heights, ability to climb 150 feetBe able to meet physical requirements necessary for this positionBe willing to work hours and shifts as required by the supervisorMust be able to read, speak, write and understand EnglishWorking in loud and at times dusty and hot environmentWilling and able to get along with others.
