Internship / Co-Operative

The Government Markets team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst Co-op to join our Supplemental Programs unit. This department designs and manages both retrospective and prospective programs aimed at enhancing the experience of our Medicare and ACA members. Our initiatives promote comprehensive care, improve quality outcomes, and support accurate risk scoring. We also collaborate with Finance and provider partners to drive performance through value-based contracts.

Reporting to the Supplemental Programs Manager, the Business Analyst Co-op will contribute to a variety of business operations and financial analysis tasks. This role involves working with large datasets, supporting reporting and documentation efforts, and solving operational challenges. The analyst will also help oversee vendor activities that support both prospective and retrospective programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student with strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes.

Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) :

  • Analyzing data to support program performance and outcomes
  • Preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with vendor oversight and coordination
  • Supporting project management activities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Provider Relations
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications : The ideal candidate will demonstrate :

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Tableau and / or SQL (preferred)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Customer service orientation and a team-first attitude
