Telemetry RN Job Details

Job Title : Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680–$1800

Unit : Cardiac Telemetry (24 beds, focus on heart failure and cardiac patients)

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM; every other weekend & holidays required; block schedule approved

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : 1 : 5-6

Scrubs : Navy

EMR : Cerner

Floating : Required to other hospital units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)

At least 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience

Proficient in interpreting telemetry strips, administering medications, and performing bedside shift reports

Experience with non-titrated cardiac drips

Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not eligible)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients, focusing on heart failure management

Monitor and accurately interpret telemetry strips for cardiac patients

Administer prescribed medications and non-titrated cardiac drips

Document patient assessments and interventions in Cerner EMR

Conduct comprehensive bedside shift reports and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Float to additional hospital units as needed to support patient care

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and nursing procedures
