Job Description

As a Security Guard - Screener in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom and more.

As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees, visitors, and guests, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Wed 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Thur 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location, especially within the tech, media, and telecom sector.
  • Monitor entry points and screen individuals entering the premises to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and / or vendors as needed while maintaining a visible presence.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
