The Field Service Manager is a Group Leader role, with responsibility for overseeing a group of Field Service Engineers at a particular site.
Responsibilities
- Oversee team of field service engineers performing calibration and maintenance service on a wide range of instruments, from pipettes and balances to plate readers, GC's, HPLC's and UPLC's.
- Work with CCM Regional Director to implement and manage performance management of staff, including ensuring that individual FSE's are trained, set appropriate goals and have a clear understanding of the expectations for their roles and career progression.
- Alongside the Regional Director, manage recruiting and hiring of new staff to the team.
- Ensure that service personnel are properly resourced to deliver quality service.
- Assist in scheduling of work orders and manage any scheduling conflicts with both personnel and clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in their territory.
- Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.
- Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.
- Maintain client confidentiality, specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant, assessors).
- Act impartially within the management system.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Four-year degree in a related science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronic engineering, biotechnology, or similar) plus 3-5 years' experience in a relevant field, e.g. as a Field Service Engineer, as an Analytical Chemist and / or as a supervisor of Analytical Chemists or Field Service Engineers.Experience with chromatography systems, particularly GC's, HPLC's and / or UPLC's.Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environmentsInternal and external customer service minded with strong communication skills, a drive to provide the best customer experience possible and assist in building the business.Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solvingMust be self-motivated and proactiveValid driver's licenseClean driving recordInfrequent travel within local territory and some overnight travel as needed.Working schedule will be Full-Time, First Shift, M-F 8am-4pm.
