Administer medications, perform clinical treatments, and collect specimens as required. Monitor and document patient conditions and communicate effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals. Assess patient and family education needs, providing customized instructions and resources. Act as an advocate for patients’ physical and emotional well-being. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Active RN license in Kentucky or compact state. New graduates may work under a provisional Kentucky license for up to six months, with full licensure required within that timeframe.
