Job Summary\n\nThe duties of a Family Medicine Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) mid-level provider include, but are not limited to, providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, consultation, education and follow-up care to patients ranging in age from infancy to geriatric; proper maintenance of records, under the direction of the Supervisory Physician and any other reasonable and proper duties assigned.\n\nPrimary Functions\n
- Examine patients and record history\n
- Adhere to proper charting protocols\n
- Discuss with Physician and other health care professionals to prepare comprehensive plan\n
- Order or execute tests or images as needed\n
- Submit health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review by Physician\n
- Analyze results of tests, diagnose and report to patient\n
- Administer or prescribe treatment and medications\n
- Promote health by advising patient on diet, hygiene and prevention of disease\n
- Inoculate and vaccinate as required\n
- Refer to specialist as required for patient's well-being\n
- Perform minor surgery\n
- Report deaths and contagious diseases to governmental authorities\n
- Report incidences to the Department of Risk and Compliance\n
- Completion and reporting of incidents on the intranet\n
- Report incidents of violence and aggression to Departments of Risk and Compliance and Human Resources\n
- Report incidents of suspected child / elderly abuse and human trafficking to the proper agencies and the Department of Risk and Compliance.\n
- Participate and serve on a minimum of one clinical quality committee\n
- Represent True Health in the community and at community events.\n
- Provide coverage for on-call, as assigned\n
- Participate in Peer Review Process as indicated\n
- Precept and train students (MD, DO, APRN, PA, residents, fellows, etc) as assigned\n
- Precept and train provider peers, as assigned\n
- Respond and participate in True Health Emergencies (i.e. Nurse Stats)\n

- Must have and maintain current State of Florida license in good standing\n
- Current National Board Certification\n\nKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities\n
- Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills\n

- Prior experience using an electronic medical records system\n
