Material Damage Operations Specialist

As a Material Damage Operations Specialist you will play a key role in optimizing and supporting the material damage claims processes at Farm Bureau Financial Service. You will also :

  • Assist in the reporting, planning, and journey mapping of the material damage claims department and process.
  • Audit invoices including Independent Adjuster invoices / assignments and assignments completed by Express Claims Team and the Business Unit to ensure compliance with claims best practices, estimating guidelines, and independent adjuster fee structures established by the company.
  • Design, measure and refine workflows to maximize customer experience, efficiency, and accuracy in the resolution of all material damage claims.
  • Develop strong working relationships and communication with business units and other departments.
  • Develop and maintain scorecards and dashboards to measure an analyze the results for the Express Claims Team, Auto Claims Team, Total Loss Unit, as well as unit staff appraisers.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve disagreements from Client / Members, claimants, agents and regulatory agencies regarding the evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of Material Damage claims in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner.
  • Support Material Damage leadership.

College degree or equivalent plus five years relevant claims experience required. Must keep current with claims technologies / systems. A valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required and travel may be required (including overnight). Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communications skills required.
