Our client, a leading Am Law 200 firm , is seeking an attorney who is passionate about the business of music and entertainment and about supporting the artists, brands, and innovators who shape global culture.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, creativity, and commerce , managing the clearance of albums and recordings while engaging in critical thinking and creative problem-solving on behalf of world-renowned clients.

What You'll Do

  • Review and coordinate comments for standard third-party participant agreements related to compositions and recorded music
  • Draft and revise producer, mixer, featured artist, and songwriter agreements , as well as letters of direction, certificates of recording , and related documents
  • Prepare and update template agreements across music, entertainment, and adjacent fields (including publicity and interview releases)
  • Collaborate directly with a team of attorneys, consultants, and industry professionals to deliver strategic counsel
  • Develop deeper insight and strategy around intellectual property and entertainment law

Who You Are

  • An attorney with foundational experience or demonstrated interest in the music industry or in related fields such as corporate law, IP development, or IP enforcement
  • Passionate about helping recording artists realize their creative and business goals
  • A self-starter who embraces challenges with an I can do that attitude
  • A collaborator who values teamwork, communication, and shared success
  • Motivated by excellence and innovation , with a forward-looking view of entertainment law
  • A critical thinker with strong attention to detail and sound judgment
  • An effective communicator , articulate in both writing and speech

  • Bar admission in good standing (or awaiting bar results) in the jurisdiction where you plan to practice
