Salary : $100-125k plus Bonus / SO's
Seeking a Safety Manager for an employer in the Harrisburg, Hershey, Lebanon PA area.
Essential Functions of the Job :
Lead the entire HSE function for a site of about 800 employees
Put in place a proactive safety process that gets all employees engaged with their own safety and the safety of co-workers
Put in place a proactive safety system that isn't reliant on the Safety Manager teach leaders what their role and daily activities are in regards to safety
Be a great trainer when it comes to all compliance trainings and non-mandated safety topics must be able to deliver with passion
Must ensure that all needed safety documentation is in place and organized
Must be a floor-person. Over 50% of time needs to be on the floor where activities are occurring (Don't need someone who wants to just be in the office all day)
Implementation of Behavior Based Safety in critical
Organize all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual safety mandated trainings, checklists, audits, etc. (Person must be a planner)
Investigate all near misses and incidents and provide proper corrective actions and communicate to all needed people
Complete all annual government reports as needed for Safety and Environmental
Be a key part of the leadership team
Lead and develop the safety committee, all leadership personnel and associates
Desired Education / Qualities / Skills / Certifications :
Prefer a BS in Safety from quality Safety Program (IUP, Millersville, SR, PSU, WV, etc)
Prefer someone with their CSP certification or in process
Need someone who isn't a job hopper want to see previous stability with an organization(s)
Need someone who is very passionate about Safety and ensuring people go home the same way they came into work
Need someone who has a charismatic personality and great communications skills you need to be able to sell why things need to be done a certain way
Would prefer someone who could be relocatable in the future this company will have promotional opportunities with multi-location responsibilities
Candidate must be willing to train at other US locations during first year of work
Someone with new facility start-ups would be great
Company will relocate someone that is more than 50 miles from the Lebanon PA area
