We are currently seeking a Project / Program Management : Electrical Systems Requirements and Certification to join our team in Washington DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

The candidate will support the client for the design, development, and life cycle support of Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems and components. The focus of this position is to support high energy storage systems requirements, design and development oversight, certification, and life cycle support; and support the client's efforts to evaluate, maintain and manage electric power technical records / requirements in accordance with the Defense Standardization Program. Services and products provided to the client's programs typically include generating and contributing to reports and various technical documents and programmatic papers to communicate engineering plans and / or requirements, compiling and tracking action items and resolutions, developing presentations, facilitating technical meetings and producing related records, and ad hoc consulting.

Project and Program Management Consultants possess a high degree of industry knowledge and project methodology expertise. These consultants possess a high proficiency in communications to facilitate project meetings, identify, mitigate and resolve issues, and depict and convey status to executive leadership. These consultants define the value proposition, work plans, resource needs, timeline and budget for projects. Consultants manage resources (i.e. capital requirements and human capital) to achieve the project objectives on time, within scope, and within budget.

Job Duties :

• Overall planning, direction, prioritization and delivery of all projects in a manner aligned with the client's expectations and business needs.
• Ensures the ongoing process / system capabilities associated with projects meet the project needs and desired results.
• Manages any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs.
• May also be responsible for Project Management Office (PMO) activities such as methodology development, project quality assurance and competency development.
• Deep understanding of their own subject area and a broad understanding of related subject areas.
• Handle diverse issues and lead projects that contribute to the company's success.
• Manages a broad, complex portfolio of projects.
• Projects will have large teams and will be globally dispersed, both with IT and business employees. The projects and programs usually have global impact and have complex business and technical challenges.
• Defines program value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline and budget for global programs.
• Viewed internally as a project management expert.
• Monitors project performance in the Project Reporting System.
• Conducts PM Metrics and Practices Reviews.
• Facilitates Peer Project Reviews and Management Project reviews.
• Supports PM Help Desk
