Job Description :

The Peer Support Specialist will perform only the duties of a Peer Support Specialist and can carry a rotational caseload when required to address one on one support needs, providing support for day-to-day problem-solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community.

Job Qualifications :

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must possess High School diploma.
  • Strong verbal and written skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and / or Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive services.
  • Must be receiving or have received behavioral health services or have had substance abuse treatment.
  • Peer Support Specialist Certification (or able to meet requirements within 6 months of hire).
  • Must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding of human behavior and counseling theories.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must maintain current BLS certification.
  • Must receive the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine within the first week of hire date, and the second dose within 8 weeks of hire date
  • TB Screening Record and PPD / QuantiFERON / Chest x-ray as applicable upon hire
