Responsibilities

Ascension Vascular Surgeryis looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Vascular Surgery team.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Vascular Surgeryto provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights :

  • Monday through Friday - day shift hours
  • This position is primarilybased out of Anderson, however 2 times a month the APP will cover the Henry County location
  • Primarily an office based position where the APP will see patients in the clinic setting. Somedays will be independent and others will be alongside a surgeon
  • There will be an OR assisting and hospitalconsult component to the role as well as the providers do operate at the Anderson office
  • Responsibilities :

    In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcareservices by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.

  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunization and patient care.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families / caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
  • Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
  • Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration :

    Required :

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required :
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Education :

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.
