Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Illinois requiring Level 1 Trauma and EPIC experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Special Procedures department
  • Manage acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients
  • Day shifts Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, four days per week
  • On-call duty required every third weekend and 4-8 additional weekdays per month
  • Documentation performed using EPIC EMR system
  • Provide comprehensive care including assessment, planning, intervention, medication administration, and ongoing evaluation
  • Prepare patients for procedures including IV venipuncture, blood administration, pain management, and lab monitoring
  • Expected to manage care coordination, documentation, and professional communication within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must adhere to unit standards, safety requirements, and complete all departmental competencies
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days allowed per 13-week contract
  • Candidates may not be on assignment at the facility more than one year without taking a 6-month break
  • Scrub attire required while working in the Cardiac Cath Lab
  • First time travelers are accepted

  • Active IL RN license or temporary license accepted
  • Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in a relevant setting
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
  • Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma minimally required
  • Experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment required
  • Experience with EPIC charting required
  • No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
