Overview
Join to apply for the Electronic Tech I role at Trinity River Authority of Texas. This position, under direct supervision, performs a variety of work relating to the maintenance and calibration of electronic components and digital equipment with frequent opportunities to plan and make decisions relative to details of assigned duties. This position is essential personnel and may be required to respond to emergency situations, including after-hours, as directed by a supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
One year experience in the repair and maintenance of sophisticated electronic apparatus preferred.
Valid Texas driver's license. Class I Wastewater Collection System Operator license (for Electronic Techs working in the Collection system) or Class D wastewater (for Electronic Techs working in plant) or D water (at the water plant) or the ability to obtain one within the first year of employment.
Must possess a basic understanding of AC and DC analog and digital circuitry and an analytical mind toward instrumentation technology.
Must have mechanical and some construction skills. Ability to recognize the relationship between the electronics and the electrical systems used. Ability to calculate mathematical formulas.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
This position requires passing a physical and physical ability assessment specific to the position. Working conditions include exposure to weather, odor, noise, chemical hazards, gases and dust, standing for prolonged periods, walking up and down stairs, climbing and descending ladders, working at heights, and working in tight or confined spaces.
Tools and Equipment
Precision test equipment, electrically insulated hand tools, two-way radio, power tools calibration and maintenance equipment, analog and digital equipment, office equipment and pickup truck.
