Full Time Weekend OptionHospital : Ascension St. Vincent Location : Indianapolis, Indiana We are a 48 bed high acuity ICU stepdown unit offering bedside cardiac care, 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 nurse to patient ratios. Our nurses specialize in caring for a specific subset of heart failure patients, those with LVADs. In addition, we provide care for open heart (CABG, valve repair, etc), heart transplant, kidney transplant, leg bypass, and a wide variety of CV's requiring chest tubes. Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration : BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
