Manager, Investment, Marketplaces
General Purpose of Job :
The Manager, Investment, Marketplaces will be responsible for managing a team owning the execution of marketplaces strategy across an assigned client portfolio. The successful Manager acts as the face of Rise to our clients and partners as well as a voice within the Rise organization to champion Marketplaces as tactic to deliver upon client goals. The Manager has a "growth-based mindset," and can illustrate a clear vision for clients, teams, and self to achieve growth.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of tactical channel experience, possess a strong understanding of channel strategy and goals, as well as have superior skills managing client risk and human resources. The successful Manager will work through their team to effectively drive strategy, manage any client / team risk, and achieve all respective client goals across their portfolios.
The Manager is responsible for the training and development of other team members, including cross-functionally. Your primary measurement of success will be the retainment of current clients, starting with overseeing the successful execution of their Marketplaces campaigns and ensuring their KPI goals are being met. The Manager will provide strategic direction to team members including assisting with media planning, performance and budget forecasting, campaign management, performance analysis, partner outreach, and more. The Manager is seen as a subject matter expert and will be called upon to lead multiple aspects of client delivery and, potentially, new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive strategy and execution to meet budget, target revenue, and other KPI goals
- Manage product listings, pricing strategies, and inventory across platforms like AMS, Amazon DSP, and other relevant marketplaces
- Serve as trusted advisor and consultant to clients on calls, emails, and in-person meetings
- Build deep, leadership-level relationships with partners, gracefully hold partners accountable for performance expectations, and drive mutually beneficial value between the client, the partner, and Rise
- Act as initial point of escalation for all Marketplaces-related projects across the full Rise portfolio
- Proactively consult with Account teams on areas of opportunity for clients to operate within the Marketplaces space; identify upsell opportunities on Rise's current book of business, and help Account teams build and deliver pitches accordingly
- Create compelling and insightful client presentations
- Responsible for managing a team of direct reports (remote and across all Rise locations) with accountability for all aspects of team oversight, including employee onboarding, employee training, employee performance (accountability and behavior), employee retention
- Lead the learning and development process for the Marketplaces team; mentor and train on Marketplaces and channel best practices and growth
- Handle multiple projects in a fast paced, high growth environment
Job Requirements : Education :
Bachelor's degree (communications, marketing, advertising, or business)Ability to speak, read and write the English languageExperience :
5+ years of AMS specific experience; additional experience with Amazon DSP or other retailers (PromoteIQ, Criteo, Wayfair, etc.) a plusAdvanced level understanding of marketplace tactics including sponsored products, sponsored brands, sponsored display, and DSP ad formatsExperience with Microsoft Office suite; significant experience with Excel and SQL a plusFamiliarity with Skai, Pacvue, Vendor & Seller Central and other relevant Marketplaces technologiesConfident presenting to internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite executivesAbility to work cross functionally with Account, Analytics, Technology, and Finance teams to accomplish client objectivesExperience building media plans and determining budget allocation on a yearly and monthly basis using different forecasting methodologiesExperience building pitch decks and pitching potential new business or upsell opportunitiesAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and provide guidance to junior team members on prioritizationStrong written and verbal communication skills; mastery of the art of asking the right questions with the ability to translate the answers from what is heard into what is meantDemonstrated understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem; how marketing channels connect, and how to make sense of the data provided by sources in order to make strategic recommendationsExperience with new business development and upsellsCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : AMS Certification preferred

Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $90,000- $100,000, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
