Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer with a solid background in metal stamping and robotic welding. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of responding effectively to customer concerns and internal quality issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial analysis of non-conformities to provide immediate support to customers and propose corrective actions or temporary solutions that prevent production delays.
  • Report and document non-conformities to ensure timely resolution in alignment with customer expectations.
  • Perform technical visits to customer locations to maintain strong relationships and address quality concerns efficiently.
  • When authorized, recover or sort non-conforming parts directly at the customer site to avoid returns.
  • Generate detailed reports on customer complaints and actively participate in identifying and implementing effective solutions.
  • Comply with internal policies and quality, environmental, health, and safety management systems.
  • Uphold legal, ethical, and procedural standards when interacting with suppliers, external agencies, and partners.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Email.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiar with ISO / TS 16949, ISO 14001, and VDA 6 standards.
  • Working knowledge of customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal).
  • Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the following quality tools and systems :
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)

  • MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
  • SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • QSA (Quality System Assessment)
  • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • VSM (Value Stream Mapping)
  • ERP systems experience
  • Knowledge of critical incident response processes and customer-specific standards
  • Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  • Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 2 years in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Prior Quality Engineer experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in organizations with a strong safety culture is an asset.
