Job Title : Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician Location : Westlake, LA Salary : $340k bonus We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team. Position Overview : As a Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician at our rural hospital, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a supportive team of healthcare professionals, including medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses. Responsibilities : Provide high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Utilize the CPSI Rural Health Medical Record system to maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation. Work closely with medical assistants, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency. Participate in on-call rotation (1-3) with rounding on patients during the day, with minimal call requirements due to ER physician coverage after 5pm. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in primary care. Requirements : Medical degree from an accredited medical school and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Louisiana. Excellent clinical skills and a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Willingness to embrace technology and adapt to electronic medical record systems.
