Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at ECC, you will :
Evaluate and treat children with gross motor delays, mobility challenges, gait impairments, strength and balance deficits, coordination issues, range of motion limitations, postural and tone abnormalities, and neuromuscular disorders
Assess, recommend, and manage rehabilitation equipment, including orthoses, wheelchairs, standers, gait trainers, and other specialized devices
Partner with vendors, orthotists, and technicians to ensure proper fitting, safety, and expansion of equipment inventory
Provide education and training to families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on positioning, equipment use, and therapeutic exercise programs
Supervise PTAs, therapy aides, and standing programs, ensuring consistency and high-quality care delivery
Document all therapy services accurately, including Plans of Care, progress notes, orders, and clinical justification for interventions
Qualifications
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Active Delaware PT license (or eligibility to obtain)
Experience with rehabilitation equipment assessment and management preferred
Experience in acute, complex, or medically fragile care settings (including trach / vent) preferred
At least 1 year of pediatric experience strongly preferred
