Join to apply for the Sr. Editor, Digital News Media role at Profiles . A leading news media organization is hiring a Sr. Editor, Digital News Media in NYC for a full-time position, onsite 3 days a week. The role requires the ability to work 1 weekend day each week and holidays when needed.

This range is provided by Profiles. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$115,000.00 / yr - $130,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership to drive daily content strategy across websites and social platforms.
  • Supervise a team of editors in crafting attention-grabbing headlines and selecting homepage story placements.
  • Use a combination of real-time analytics and editorial insight to guide content prioritization.
  • Operate within various CMS and social media management tools.
  • Manage testing of headlines and imagery to optimize user engagement.

Qualifications

  • Must have news media background and knowledge of current events.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred.
  • Must have experience with homepage and social media.
  • 3-5+ years of managerial experience
  • The capability of being a skilled, fast writer and self-editor under tight deadlines.
