Responsibilities

Support application and mission rationalization initiatives by assisting in portfolio inventory, evaluation, and analysis to provide strategic modernization recommendations to clients. Leverage architecture fundamentals and techniques to document IT systems and applications, ensuring alignment with strategic business and mission objectives to reduce redundancy and enable modernization. Gather and maintain accurate data on applications, systems, costs and dependencies. Create and maintain architecture artifacts, including models, diagrams, and roadmaps using tools such as ARIS, or equivalent, including developing and updating system inventories, architecture diagrams, and dependency maps. Ensure documentation and artifacts meet enterprise standards and supports decision-making. Support the evaluation of applications against criteria such as cost, usage, risk, technical fit, and mission alignment to support transformation activities. Assist in identifying redundancies and opportunities for consolidation. Research and recommend best practices for portfolio management, architecture standards, and rationalization methods.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

  • 1+ year of experience in IT, business analysis, or enterprise or solution architecture support
  • Experience with developing architecture artifacts using Department of Defense enterprise architecture concepts (DoDAF)
  • Knowledge of application lifecycle management, cloud technologies, and IT modernization
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering

Additional Qualifications :

  • Experience with the ARIS modeling tool
  • Knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering and Business Process Reengineering (BPR)
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Clearance :

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
