job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDevelop and run a high quality clinical general surgery practice in conjunction with the existing general surgeons. This will include inpatient and outpatient practice as well as emergent, urgent and elective patient care. Provide general surgical services, including consultative coverage in the Emergency Department (ED) , and inpatient units throughout the hospital. General Surgery call 1 : 4 Maintain prompt offsite availability when on call (responding within 20 minutes). Provide structured mentorship and enhance the training experience for PAs and midlevel providers. Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of PA education programs. - In this role, you will help develop and expand a broad-based general surgery practice with a strong emphasis on elective procedures. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient surgical care, admissions, consultative services including support in the Emergency Department as needed and office-based management of new and follow-up patients.
