American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring Level I or II trauma background and current NJ or compact license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in Interventional Radiology at a cancer center, floating between the Main Campus and the cancer center via pedestrian bridgeDay shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts from 8 : 00 AM to 6 : 30 PMCall required 1-2 days per week, averaging 4-6 times per month; call RNs assist with PICC but do not insertPatient mix includes IR procedures and some conscious sedation recoveryEKOS or similar thrombolytic therapy experience highly preferredA-line and procedural wedge pressure monitoring requiredUses the Epic EMR systemRequired to float within skillset as neededProvide care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures and support conscious sedation recoveryCall RNs assist with PICC line procedures; actual PICC insertions are performed by PAsParticipation in 2 of 3 major holidays is requiredFirst time travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rateNo block scheduling; requested time off must be confirmed before assignment and will not be accommodated after offerModules including EPIC training and department-specific training are required pre-startStrict attendance, callout, and completion policies apply\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or compact RN license required at the time of considerationBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 1.5 years of Level I trauma or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required; stroke center experience acceptedScrub experience preferred but not requiredExperience with arterial line and wedge pressure monitoring requiredPrevious staff (full-time or PRN) at health system must have at least a 1-year break before eligibility\n Benefits\n
