Business Dev Manager (Arden Hills,MN)
The Business Development Manager serves as a key leader within our sales team, responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, creating high-value leads, and converting prospects into lasting clients in the medical technology sector. This role demands a strategic sales professional skilled in value-based selling, team leadership, client relationship management, and process improvement-to accelerate revenue growth and advance the Zeus strategic plan. Responsibilities :
- Drive new business acquisition and actively grow revenue within existing accounts
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives that promote divisional growth
- Set, monitor, and consistently achieve sales goals and forecasts
- Collaborate on the creation and implementation of targeted marketing plans
- Lead contract negotiations and successfully close high-value sales agreements
- Build and cultivate strategic alliances and partnerships with key customers
- Evaluate product strengths, market dynamics, and global competitiveness
- Raise organizational awareness of international competitive pressures and pricing strategies
- Conduct territory visits to engage with customers and understand industry needs
- Maintain and expand high-level contacts across customer sectors
- Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Generate new opportunities and penetrate markets through lead follow-up, prospecting, and cold outreach
- Respond to incoming customer requests, addressing order status and resolving issues efficiently
- Lead internal problem-solving related to order scheduling, expediting, and logistics
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to team decision-making
- Prepare detailed monthly and annual performance reports
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts both monthly and yearly
- Foster long-term relationships with account contacts
- Collaborate with sales, production and R&D teams to support projects
- Coordinate quality control and production discussions for regular meetings
- Review orders for accuracy and completeness prior to processing
- Supervise, motivate, and develop assigned personnel
- Communicate directly with production teams regarding new projects and current operational challenges
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or a related fieldAn advanced degree (MBA) is preferred8+ years of experience in sales or business development, with demonstrated success working with catheter technologies, components, and customer requirement in the medical device sectorProven ability to manage customer relationships and drive sales in the medical device industryExcellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skillsAbility to successfully work in a team environment and independentlyProblem Solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projectsStrong attention to detail and accuracyComfortable with computers and working knowledge in Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM softwareWillingness to travel (25%-50%) for new business development, client visits, and industry events.
