About the Role

  • We are seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join a reputable General Contractor in Oklahoma City.
  • The APM will support Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up commercial projects $10M+ , with a focus on municipal, healthcare, higher education, community centers, and athletic facilities
  • This role is designed for a motivated construction professional who is ready to gain cradle-to-grave project experience and grow into a future Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in overseeing all phases of ground-up projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Support in budget tracking, cost reports, change orders, and subcontractor invoicing.
  • Manage and process submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
  • Help coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities to maintain project schedules.
  • Perform site visits and provide progress reports to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Work closely with superintendents, owners, architects, and engineers to support smooth project execution.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to contracts, scheduling, and procurement processes.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–5 years of construction experience, ideally with a General Contractor
  • Exposure to ground-up projects $10M+ (municipal, healthcare, higher education, community, or athletic facilities preferred).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management and scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to long-term career growth with reputable GCs (no job hopping).
  • Must be local to Oklahoma City or willing to relocate without assistance.
