Job Title : Group Leader Day Program

Location : Oceanport, NJ

Position Type : Full-Time 9am-3pm

About Us : At Fort Monmouth Day Program, we strive to create an engaging and supportive environment for individuals in our day program. We are seeking a dynamic and creative Group Leader to guide a diverse group of participants. If youre passionate about art and enjoy fostering meaningful connections, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead and facilitate daily activities, including art projects and creative workshops, that encourage self-expression and social interaction.
  • Manage group dynamics, addressing any issues that arise on-site with confidence and compassion.
  • Develop engaging activities for free time, ensuring that all participants are included and engaged.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Provide support and guidance to participants, helping them develop social skills and confidence.
  • Document daily activities and progress, sharing insights with the broader team.

Qualifications :

  • Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a day program or similar setting.
  • Strong artistic skills and creativity, with the ability to inspire others.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Passion for working with individuals of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet the varied needs and interests of participants.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
