Meet Homeowners & Provide Estimates Conduct on-site visits in Wilmington, NC Metro area, take measurements / photos, and prepare proposals using estimating software.Sell & Book Jobs Present estimates, highlight our value, and close the sale.Maintain Profitability Sell jobs at or above the company's target gross profit to meet profitability goals.Cultivate Referral Partners Build relationships with Realtors, property managers, and local business owners to grow sales faster.Manage Communication Handle customer questions, concerns, and follow-ups with professionalism.Collaborate with the Team Work closely with office and field staff to ensure smooth project execution.What We're Looking For
Location : Must live in or around Wilmington NCValid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation Travel to job sites is required.Sales-Driven & Results-Oriented Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.Strong Negotiation & Problem-Solving Skills Ability to address concerns and find win-win solutions.Excellent Communication Skills Build trust quickly with customers and referral partners.Tech-Savvy & Organized Comfortable with CRM systems, estimating software, and Microsoft Office and own a smart phone.Preferred Experience Home improvement, construction sales, remodeling, or project management background that is Independent, reliable, and able to manage your time with minimal oversight.Who Thrives in This Role

The Sales Associate / Estimator role is a sales role. Your main responsibilities include doing in-home estimates with residential customers who have requested home repair or remodeling services, evaluating the project, estimating the cost of services for the customer using Handyman Connection's estimating software and selling the service to the customer.
The Sales Associate / Estimator will meet with customers, take pictures, diagram the work, and write a proposal (complete with pricing) for the project.The Sales Associate / Estimator will present proposals to the customers and schedule jobs through the office using Handyman Connection software.The Sales Associate / Estimator will be expected to maintain clean and well-groomed appearance. Nice jeans or slacks or shorts with button up or polo logoed shirts are acceptable attire for customer sales calls.The Sales Associate / Estimator is expected to pursue Commercial / Corporate Accounts on a regular basis. Any established accounts will apply toward the Sales Associate / Estimator weekly / monthly / annual quotas.The Sales Associate / Estimator should be able to build effective customer relationshipsThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have clear and concise communication skillsThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have excellent listening skillsThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have experience using many software / technology tools as they will need the ability to learn and use the Handyman Connection recommended estimating software, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software and basic business software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) as well as proficient keyboard and data entry skillsThe Sales Associate / Estimator should be able to communicate effectively and assertively with craftsmanThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have the willingness to use and follow approved sales scripts to deliver the Handyman Connection Brand Experience to customers and craftsmanThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have a high-level of detail-orientation & organizationThe Sales Associate / Estimator should be able to work in a fast-paced environment & multi-task wellThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have the willingness to make outbound sales orientated calls to customersThe Sales Associate / Estimator should demonstrate self-motivation and initiativeThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have the ability and experience working by themselves in an autonomous environmentThe Sales Associate / Estimator should have strong personal time management skillsPreferred experience :Experience working in a construction related industry and working with craftsmanExperience making outbound sales calls to customersExperience working with difficult customers and employees; handling complaints or conflicts with customers and employeesKnowledge of basic home repair / remodelingKnowledge and experience using a home remodeling softwareKnowledge and experience doing in-home estimates with customers for a service5 years of experience in sales having goals and being held accountable to achieving those goalsLongevity working in a role for an extended period of time demonstrating loyalty to a company and the ability to maintain employment in one place for a significant period of timeCompensation : $35,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
