General Summary :
Under the direction of the CEO, this position is responsible for ensuring State and Federal regulatory compliance in agency and branch policies and practices. This position provides education and tools to ensure the provision of safe and effective patient care.
Clinical Oversight :
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate hospice care to patients and their families, aligning with clinical best practices and regulatory compliance.Monitoring patient care plans, quality metrics, and clinical outcomes.Overseeing the clinical staff, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and aides, ensuring proper training and competency.Operational Management :
Managing day-to-day hospice operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.Overseeing budget management, financial reporting, and cost control within the hospice program.Business Development :
Identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand hospice services within the community.Building relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations.Leading marketing and outreach initiatives to promote hospice services.Compliance and Regulatory Affairs :
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hospice care.Monitoring regulatory changes and implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.Overseeing quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of care.Leadership and Team Development :
Providing leadership and mentorship to the hospice team, fostering a positive work environment.Evaluating staff performance and identifying training needs.This description is a general statement of required essential functions performed on a regular and continuous basis. Requirements : Experience :
Extensive experience in hospice care, including clinical leadership roles.Proven track record of successful operational management and business development in a healthcare setting.Deep understanding of hospice regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Education :
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Master's degree in nursing (MSN), healthcare administration, or a related field.Licensure / Certification : Registered Nurse.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, move or transport equipment or supplies / materials up to ten (10) pounds without assistance; occasional lifting or transporting of equipment or supplies over ten (10) pounds with the assistance of personnel.Range of motion and mobility of self to include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
