About The Position

Job Title : CT Technologist

Profession : Allied Health

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Weekend Overnights

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : Minimum of Two Years Level 1 Trauma Center Experience

License : NYS Licensure (must obtain prior to starting the position)

Certifications : BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Must-Have :

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient-centered and compassionate disposition
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment

Description :

Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating the scan.

Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures for patient safety.

Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.

Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.

Insert IVs when necessary for the test.

Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility.

Utilize safe patient handling techniques.

Maintain accurate patient record-keeping by properly documenting all necessary components.

Identify images and ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.

Knowledge of equipment is preferred.

Injection certification is preferred and must be completed during the orientation process.

Experience with Epic is highly desired.
