Overview

DAPS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organized in 1978 by Clarice Dougherty to provide support to those, like her husband, who struggle with Parkinson's disease. We provide free and low-cost resources to people with Parkinson's and their loved ones, including group exercise, speech / swallowing therapy, Dance for PD(r), care partner support groups, monthly educational / motivational meetings, and a monthly newsletter.

The Dallas Area Parkinson Society (DAPS) is seeking a volunteer photographer for our largest annual event - the Keep Living Well Symposium - dedicated to supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease and their families.
