The Trust & Financial Services Department seeks a motivated professional with excellent communication skills, plus a knowledge of, and interest in, the dynamics of personal finance, including wealth accumulation, investing, and financial planning.
Trust is a multi-disciplinary field blending elements of investments, taxation, and estate planning. Working with individuals, families, and organizations, you will oversee plans that optimize financial well-being for both the clients sitting beside you and across generations.
The Trust Officer manages accounts for individuals, families, estates, charities and entities while working closely with the Bank's Trust Investment Officer and Senior Vice President to execute the clients' goals. The Trust Officer has excellent written and oral presentation skills, a working knowledge of investments and tax, a high service standard and ability to manage their time and relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience or background in investments, tax, economics, or accounting.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and a modern, software-driven workplace.
- Excellent project management skills, organization skills, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional attitude, reliable, strong work ethic and ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity in personal and fiduciary matters.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships with others.
Responsibilities
Trust Officer will handle all aspects of trust administrationExhibit the highest service standard working with clients, trustees and beneficiariesPrepare formal and informal accountings for filing with the courts and / or presentation to beneficiariesProcess payments, statements. and receipts for trust accountsAddress client inquiries in a timely and effective mannerManage client risks and money movementGather information and tax forms needed for fiduciary and personal income tax preparation; track tax filing deadlines and ensure all filings are timelyOpen and close trust accounts.Be a reliable, responsive, confident resource to clients, attorneys, beneficiaries and team members throughout the trust administration processHandle special projects or additional responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the Senior Vice PresidentCommunicate with trust beneficiaries and clients regarding distributionsOrchestrate annual trust administration meetings and account reviewsInitiative / proactive approach to problem solving.Physical Demands and Working Conditions
